Hello, kids!
Back on the lake....we heard the sounds
of a boat.
Collection crew.
Hauling it in.
Fish frenzy!
Sexing the fish and checking for
maturity. Immature walleye would be held for later egg
collecting.
Documenting the catch. I was told that 6
species of fish were caught in this net, this day.
Catch and release. This net appeared to
be a "Northern Getter".
Pleasing the crowd. (Which consisted of
just Jim and I!)
Nice northern.
Fin clipping. (ID system for
green Walleye)
Northern Pike need not
apply.
We HAVE to be sure!
Back in the
"drink".
What does he see?
Another beautiful
Northern.
Stretch 'er out
tight!
And they are OFF.
Back on shore...
Little outhouse on the prairie. Who said
there isn't a clean restroom about any where you look in Northeast Montana?
Pair in the air.
Feather, found.
Up close and
personal.
Long and winding
road.
Larva love. (I LOVE the leaf cutter bee
larva, carefully tucked into each hole.)
Pelican pod.
Up next: Milking a..... FISH?
