The Kolden Report: Nothing but webs (and one tiny cowboy) August 2nd, 2012

Hi, kids!

A warm welcome goes out to you new subscribers!  I hope you "enjoy the ride".  Feel free to share the Kolden Report as you wish.

Now, on to the report!

Driving to work  recently, I was STUNNED.  We'd had a bit of rain and droplets were clinging to everything.

A veritable HIGHWAY of spider silk was visible in the foliage.

Orb weaver's neat web.  (Could this be kin to my Charlotte?)

Billowy web.

Concentric circles.

Poor housekeeper?

Neat as a pin.

The "neighborhood".

Under construction.

Handyman's dream?

Unusual design.

WHOLE lotta weaving going on!

"X" marks the spot.

I had to watch every step.  Between the silk "highways" and the multitude of webs, I couldn't help but wonder if we destroy their work, their homes, their livelihood -  every time we walk in the tall grass?

Coverage.

Webs, webs....everywhere!

Tidy center, ragged edges.

Itty, bitty.

Opportunist.

Droopy.

Tidy trio.

Love the shadowy color here.

Beginner's web?

I LOVE this tiny cowboy!   Bet he sleeps with as much of his gear as his Mamma will allow.
