The Kolden Report: Something to see! Circle, Montana. December 18, 2014

Hello, kids!

Please let me know if you did not get parts 12 and 13 of the Montana Back Roads trip and I will resend.  Server failure, so I'm told.

I normally don't advertise, per se but when I find a place that is out of this world, I have to report on it. Here is one such place.  Spend your money locally, kids.  Support your local artists!

I have pieces in an eclectic little shop in Circle and was just there last weekend.  My phenomenal friend and amazing artist, Connie Idland owns the joint.  Prairie Pickin's is open 12-6,  W-F and it is  well worth stopping for!  Turn right on main, down two blocks and on your left.  Just by the theater.    I recommend at least  coffee and candy but you'll never get out the door with only that.  I guarantee it.

When open, you'll see her sign on the street.

Window dressing.

From soup to nuts.  Literally!

Reason enough to go.  Artisan chocolate!

Christmas candy.

Clever signage! ( This is how creative Connie is.  Using a purse as a sign!)

There is MUCH to see.  Floor to ceiling and her inventory is always changing.  Many items are one of a kind creations, by local artists.

Chokecherry even!  Support your local artist....

Oh and did I mention the candy?  Handcrafted candy?  It's ALL good.

This is so ME.  How did she know I have a thing for shoes?

Or this one.....truer words, I've not seen.

But this chair!  I would love to own it.  It is two pieces for easy transport.   So you can fit it in the trunk of your sportscar.....

In her spare time, Connie whips out bows, so you don't have to.  Of course I gravitated to the reds but she has all kinds and colors.

In case you don't know what to get that certain someone.  And of course she makes the gift certs herself.

The whole store is decked out.

Oh and did I mention the cheesecake?

Even Connie's packaging is a work of art!

And if you play your cards right, you can get a massage after you shop!  Call for appointments.

Wanna buy a tree?  One stop shopping.   All in Circle, Montana.  And when you go, tell them Kitty sent you!

Thanks for a fun afternoon, Connie!  Can't wait to come and play again......
