The Kolden Report: Good things come to those who wait, part two, 3-31-13

Hello, kids!

Happy Easter!  Hope you can all spend it with those you love....

My show at The Gallery in Glendive is hung, many thanks to Helen and Earl for their help.  I am pleased and excited for it to be seen!  The open house is Sunday of next week, April 7th at 1pm and refreshments will be served.  Come out , see the show and browse the other wonderful art as well.  The Gallery is home to all types of art including, but not limited to: jewelry (agate, spoon, etc),  painting, sculpture,  pottery, wood carving, leather flowers, hand carved guitars, miniature moccasins and much more.    It is a perfect place to shop for unique, one of a kind, made in Montana, USA gifts!  You can visit the gallery online at:  http://www.dcaugallery.org/

I'm told that my pieces will be listed online soon. so check back!  Also, the museum is having their garbage can art auction and chocolicious party on Saturday April 6th and here is more info on that:  http://www.dcaugallery.org/2013cans.html

Now, the REST of the story!

Vine ice.

THAT'S a gaggle of geese!  (Truth is, it's only a teensy group - comparatively speaking.  1000's of geese are on their way north.  I love hearing their voices and  wings overhead.)

Magic mist.  (What a way to start the day!)

Sunrise steam.

Yes, we had below zero temps.  The river iced up and tried to freeze over...again.  Some wonder if spring will EVER come?

Dude.

Nervous dude.

Dude take-off!

Snow "curl".

Shadow stripes.

And again.  Which do you prefer?

Six geese a ....flying!

Hi-Ho, Hi-Ho....

Bad ear.

Spare pair.

Bambi....is that you?

Morning Glory I.

Morning Glory II.

Morning magic.

Missouri "moon shine".

Demure.

West.

East.  Reminds me of a song:  "Lookin' out at the road rushin' under my wheels...."  - Jackson Brown, Runnin' on empty -

Joy.  ( I wish you much.)

Peace.  (May it always be with you.)

The Kolden Report:Good things come to those who wait, Part One, March 29, 2013

Hello, kids!

I have been busy and have lots to cover so let's dive right in by welcoming the new subscribers! Enjoy the ride and feel free to share the Kolden Report as you wish.

Tomorrow, I hang my show at The Gallery in Glendive, Montana at 109 North Merrill Ave.   I have been working feverishly on new pieces and am quite pleased with the results.   Admission to The Gallery is free and they are open Monday through  Friday, 12-4 and by appointment, (406)-377-6508.

The Gallery reception is Sunday, April 7th at 1pm and you are all invited.    I love nothing more than chatting with those who share my passion for Northeast Montana!  Also, I am going to be drawing for prizes at the end of April, so please stop by when you can, see the show, tour the museum or shop for that perfect gift and sign up to win!

Now, on to the report!

Ethereal Case.  (Frost crystals look bizarre in the frigid morning air!)

Mud flat or Missouri river, just before dawn?

Red sky in morning....  (Have I mentioned how THRILLED I am to be commuting in day light?)

Slip and slide.  (Roosters are comical as they struggle to run on ice.  They are no better at it than we are!)

DEEP crossing.

Fluffy Fella....  (Notice he's only one one foot?  Just warming up a bit....)

Shadow sunrise.
