The Kolden Report: Camp and Canoe, Part two, August 18, 2012

Hi, kids!

Back on the lake (and shooting from the canoe....)

Sandstone, sliced.

Stone house.

Pelican pod passes.

Break time for "Old Smokey".

Cockle burr infancy.    I really love the texture of this little devil but won't as I pick them from my bootlaces this fall.

Work of ART!  And it still stands.  When was it built?  Homestead days?  1914?  Nearly 100 years old and still standing.  A true work of art.

Each stone, perfectly placed by size and shape.  A puzzle, if you will.

Even the lichen that grows adds to the quiet beauty seen through this window.

Adobe hilltop peeks over the ridge.  Shack gazes back.

Was this the barn?  Closer to the water than the house.   PERFECT corners remain.

INTERESTING formation.  :>)

Dragonfly parking place II.
