The Kolden Report: Catfish and rainbows, part two.

Hello, kids!

Swim low..

Heavy rainfall had caused flooding overnight.  Flooding is the "catfish dinner bell" it seems!

The water had so much suspended silt, it seemed like soil....not water.

And, it reflected the sky beautifully!

JUST under the surface of the water, looks like a silt.  Bet one could NOT walk on it, even if it appears so.

Dragging the tip of my pole in the water, stirs up the silt.  Here, shadow silt.

The log is actually floating but appears lodged in the "soil"  (Silt.)

And the catfish were biting!

Fox tail frenzy.

Water or glass?

Strange line of demarcation, in the water.  Perhaps it's where we passed in the boat?

And the line is not visible here.  Just a very serene placid setting.

Floating on by.

Coming in for a landing.

Molting madness.  (Family of Canada geese evading the boat.)

Splish-splash!

Grandfather and grandson.

Working pump jack at Nelson Recreation Area, Fort Peck Lake, Montana.  (Surrounded by a bit of clover.)

Perfect end to a perfect day!

Up next:  Another day in paradise.
