The Kolden Report: Spring thaw. (Yes, I am that far behind!)

Hello, kids!

After the warm sun of Nicaragua and Arizona, I found myself wondering how far away spring was in Northeast Montana?  Camping was in order.  Here is that trip to Fort Peck Lake, Montana.

Enjoy!

Love the Montana sky.

Clouds float by.

Dunn abode.

Grass calves.

Montana Highway #528.

How does this happen?  I often see only one shoe.  I am intrigued at how anyone could lose their shoes!

What is it and why is it here?

Fort Peck, awakening.

Spillway seepage.

Repairs are under way to rehabilitate the plunge pool scouring and bank erosion.

Mountain of material.

Access for all.

Vantage point.

The BIG picture.

Power houses.

Cattail shores.

Slip and slide.

Cattail cacophony.

Rotting ice.

Open water.

Islands in the....Missouri!

Up next:  Fire and ice.
