The Kolden Report: Choco cafe and museum, Nicaragua, June 24th, 2014.

Hello, kids!

Next stop was the choco cafe for a buffet breakfast.  What an interesting place!

Hand hewn furniture crouched above ancient tiled floors, surrounding an open air courtyard.

The tables and chairs were works of art, in themselves!

A closer look.  Again, how old is this floor?

Courtyard path.

Point well taken.

Brilliantly colored art dotted the walls.

Pigeons bathed in the courtyard fountain.

Others, less brave, watched from the roof top.

Damp foliage.

Coffee tree.

Art from all over Central and South America, lined the walls of the hotel.

Dominican Republic.

Color!

Each grouping contained unusual furniture.

A bit gruesome, those Peruvian artists....

But not all of them.  I LOVE the lower, center mask.

A closer look.

Furniture as unusual as the art.

Modernistic.

I should have sat in some of these to determine comfort level.  This set does NOT look terribly comfortable.

Frank Lloyd Wright-ish.

Fascinating color and texture in the table top.

VERY modern.

Infinity pool.

Falling water fascination.

A bit of the original building's wall was preserved.  Hand made is an understatement!

Even the steps are decor.

Facilities alive with color.

One for each but you'll share the sink.

Hallway beckons.
